When measuring the dip tube length for a pump/spray you may have heard or been asked for the FBOG length. In packaging “FBOG” also known as “From Bottom of Gasket” is used as a term for the measurement of a dip tube length for a pump or spray. This is a form of measurement required when ordering your dispenser so that you will know the length of the dip tube will fit your bottle correctly.
How do you measure the FBOG?
To measure FBOG length for an existing pump or spray:
Place verniers/ruler from end of the dip tube to the base of the internal pump or spray cap.
This will give you the recommended FBOG length. See attached.
To measure FBOG length for a bottle:
Place verniers/ruler to the base of the bottle (on the edge) and measure it to the top of the bottle neck. This will give you the recommended FBOG length. See attached.
