Barrier or Non Barrier tubes

When it comes to packaging advice, Weltrade Packaging is an industry leader with over 20 years experience in providing today’s most innovative, high quality cosmetic tube package designs.

Our team of experts specialise in creating bold new cosmetic tube designs to meet and exceed our customer’s needs and ensure your product stands out above the rest.  We have the ability and services to print multi colour labels and logos directly onto the tubes which means the possibilities are endless.  Having more options available allow your product to be easily recognised with unique characteristics.

The tubes we offer are made from MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene blends).  These are offered in single or multi layer materials up to a combination of 5 layered materials which would suit products that have aggressive essential oils or chemicals.

When choosing plastic packaging it’s always important to be aware of the compatibility with various ingredients.  Our experienced team is always on hand to assist you on this.

In addition to the above, when you choose tubes there are various options available when it comes to colours, caps, printing and foil tamper evident sealing.

Single or mono layer tubes

The single layer tube is produced from 1 layer of plastic, which can consist of LDPE (low density polyethylene), LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and HDPE (high density polyethylene).  This usually ends up being a medium density polyethylene.

Single layer tubes are 100% recyclable and can be silk screen printed, off set printed, hot foil stamped, labeled and supplied with an aluminum tamper evident seal.

For our volume calculator and artwork dimension table please see  https://weltradepackaging.com.au/product/tubes/singlelayer-tubes/  Minimum order per print run is 5,000 or 10,000 items.

Barrier Tubes

What is an EVOH Barrier? EVOH, (Ethylene vinyl alcohol), is a synthetic polymer which is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol.

What is EVOH used for?

EVOH has excellent barrier properties against, for example, oxygen, gases, solvents and oils. It is often used in packaging for food products, (natural/organic) cosmetics, industrial products and pharmaceutical products.  This barrier helps extend the products storage life and combats any possible odors as well as stopping the packaging from deforming.

How does EVOH work in an extruded tube?

EVOH’s oxygen permeability is +/- 1.500 times lower than HDPE’s (high density poly ethylene) and +/- 4.000 times lower than LDPE’s (low density poly ethylene).

Min order 10000.
